FAQ

It enables a prospective buyer to select from available inventory, explore incentives, evaluate trade-in value and monthly payments. The buyer can also complete the optional credit application and review available Service Protection Plans. Shop consolidates all this information and submits one lead to the dealership.
As a dealer, you can:
  1. Create and manage discounts at individual vehicle level or across multiple vehicles.
  2. Activate/Deactivate a specific VIN.
  3. Create and manage rules at Make/Model Year/Vehicle/Trim levels and extend these rules to new inventory.
  4. Enroll in PayPal
  5. Generate the Leads Reports
  6. Create and manage Service & Protection Plans and Warranties
  7. Grant Dealer Admin tool access to required users.
  8. Release vehicles from “Offer pending”/”Reserved vehicles” state to “Reserve” state. This will enable the option to rebook the vehicle.
There are three types of discounts available.
  1. Individual vehicle discounts: Discounts that can be created and applied to one specific VIN. These are subject to a maximum of five (5) discounts per vehicle or a maximum dollar value of $5,000.
  2. Bulk Discounts: Discounts that can be created and applied to multiple vehicles at one time.
  3. Automated or Rule-based discounts: Rules can be created at various levels (Make, Make-Model Year, Make-Model Year-Vehicle, Make-Model Year-Vehicle-Trim/s combinations) and will be applicable to new VINs that are added to the dealer inventory.
The Discounts feature enables you to create and apply discounts at individual vehicle level. Follow the below steps:
  1. Search for vehicles using VIN or other search filter options on the left panel. Mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk (*)
  2. Once complete with filter options, click the “Go“ button to view the list of vehicle(s) matching the search criteria.
  3. Click the “Add“ button for each vehicle you wish to apply the discount. Then enter the discount details such as Discount Name, Dollar Amount or Percentage (%) Value, start and expiration dates.
  4. When complete, click the “Save & Apply” button to apply the discount.
Please Note:
  • ● There is a maximum of five (5) discounts that can be created/saved per vehicle.
  • ● If the discount dollar amount exceeds $5,000, an error message will display. You will need to adjust the discounts so the value of all discounts will be within $5,000, then click the “Save & Apply” button again.
  • ● To save this discount for future use, check the “Add to Saved Discounts” check box.
Yes. Follow the below steps to edit existing discount(s) on a vehicle:
  1. Search for vehicles using the VIN number or search filter options on the left panel.
  2. Click the “Go” button to view the list of vehicle(s) matching the search criteria
  3. Click the “Edit” button for each vehicle that requires editing.
  4. Edit the discount details as desired.
  5. When complete, click the “Save & Apply” button to apply your changes.

  • ● There is a maximum of five (5) discounts that can be created/saved per vehicle.
  • ● If the discount dollar amount exceeds $5,000, an error message will display. You will need to adjust the discounts so the value of all discounts will be within $5,000, then click the “Save & Apply” button again.

Yes, follow the below steps to delete existing discount on a vehicle:
  1. Search for vehicles using the VIN number or search filter options on the left panel.
  2. Click the “Go” button to view the list of vehicle(s) matching the search criteria
  3. Click the “Delete” button for each discount that requires deletion.
  4. Click the “Confirm Deletion” button to apply all deletions.
This can be accomplished using the bulk discounts feature. This enables you to create and apply discounts to more than one vehicle at a time. Follow the below steps:
  1. Search for vehicles by using the filter options on the left. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory.
  2. Click the “Go“ button to view the list of vehicles matching the search criteria
  3. Click the “Add Bulk Discounts” button
  4. Enter Discount Name, Dollar Amount or Percentage (%) value, start and expiration dates
  5. Check the “ Include ” check box for the vehicles you would like to include. To apply to all vehicles, check the “ Include ” check box in the header.
  6. Click the “ Save & Apply ” button to apply these discounts
  7. Confirm overriding of all previously applied discounts.
  8. The discount(s) are now applied to the selected vehicles

Bulk discounts feature allows you to edit the bulk discounts. Follow the below steps:
  1. Search for vehicles by using the filter options on the left. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory.
  2. Click the “Go” button to view the list of vehicles matching the search criteria
  3. Click the “Add Bulk Discounts”button
  4. Edit the discount details as desired or add/delete discount(s) as needed.
  5. Check the “Include” check box for the vehicles you would like to include. To apply to all vehicles, check the “ Include ” check box in the header.
  6. Click the “Save & Apply” button to apply these discounts
  7. Confirm overriding of all previously applied discounts.
  8. The discount(s) are now applied to the selected vehicles

Delete discounts using bulk discount functionality allows you to remove discounts from multiple vehicles.
  1. Search for vehicles by using the filter options on the left. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory.
  2. Click the “Go” button to view the list of vehicles matching the search criteria
  3. Click the “Add Bulk Discounts” button
  4. Select the vehicles that you would like to clear the discounts
  5. Click the “Clear All Discounts” button
  6. Confirm clearing of all discounts from the selected vehicles
This feature allows you to create rules at various levels and even for future inventory. Follow the below steps:
  1. Select the level at which the rule must be defined. Selection of “Make” is mandatory.
  2. Click the “Create Discounts” button.
  3. Enter discount details such as Discount Name, Dollar Amount or Percentage (%) Value, start and expiration dates.
  4. Click the “Show & Edit Inventory” button to view a list of vehicles based on the search filter combination selected
  5. All vehicles will be selected by default. To exclude vehicles from this discount, you must uncheck the vehicle.
  6. Click the “Save & Apply” button. This will apply the rules defined and override existing discounts.
Please Note:
    ● There is a maximum of five (5) discounts that can be created/saved per vehicle.
  • ● If one or more discounts are defined in percentage (%) terms and the calculated amount exceeds $5,000 on any of the vehicles, the discount amount will automatically be adjusted to the maximum limit of $5,000 and a warning sign and message will display for each vehicle indicating the this issue.
  • ● By default, the “Add to Saved Discounts” check box is checked. Saved discounts can be viewed by clicking the “Saved Discounts” button.
  • ● Discounts are inherited by all vehicles matching the search criteria. Any changes made at superseding levels will override the existing rules.
Yes. The tool enables you to edit the existing rules at various levels and the changes will affect future inventory. Follow the below steps:
  1. Select the level at which the rule must be edited.
  2. Click the “Create Discounts” button.
  3. Existing rule(s) defined for the selected filter option will display
  4. Edit discount details such as Discount Name, Dollar Amount or Percentage (%) Value, start and expiration dates, as desired.
  5. Click the “Show & Edit Inventory” button to view a list of vehicles for the search filter combination selected
  6. All vehicles are selected by default. To exclude vehicles or edit discounts, you must uncheck them at a vehicle level.
  7. Click on Save and apply. This will apply the changes made and override existing discounts.

  • ● If one or more discounts are defined in percentage (%) terms and the calculated amount exceeds $5,000 on any of the vehicles, the discount amount will automatically be adjusted to the maximum limit of $5,000 and a warning sign and message will display for each vehicle indicating the this issue.

Follow the below steps to delete the automated discounts:
  1. Select the level at which the discounts/rule must be deleted.
  2. Click the “Create Discounts” button.
  3. Existing rule(s) defined for the selected filter option will display
  4. Click the “Trashcan” icon for each discount and confirm deletion. You can delete all discounts from the rule.
  5. The discounts will be cleared from all the vehicles where they were applied
Bulk discounts are automated discounts that can be applied to multiple vehicles at a time. Key differences between the two have been noted below:
  1. The discounts are applied to only selected vehicles in bulk functionality. In Automated Discounts the rules defined at a certain level will be inherited by new VINs getting added to dealership inventory.
  2. In the bulk functionality, the discounts can be applied to selected vehicles of a specific combination of Make-Model-Year-Vehicle (one or more)-Trim combinations. In Automated Discounts, rules can be applied at a Make level which will get applied to all vehicles of that Make.
  3. Bulk Discounts can be applied only to existing inventory. Automated Discounts can help you create rules for your future Inventory. Once the new inventory gets added, Automated Discounts will be automatically applied.
This feature allows you to create a PayPal account or to link existing PayPal account to accept vehicle reservation payment.
Click on “PayPal” button
  • ● Enter Email, First Name & Last Name and click on “CONNECT WITH PAYPAL” button
  • ● In the pop-up, enter Email id, select the Country or Region, create password & confirm the password. Make sure you enter the same email id you entered in previous step.
  • ● Click on “Next” button. OR you will be given a choice to link the existing PayPal account by clicking on “Log in” link below the “Next” button.
  • ● If you need to proceed with new login click on “Next” button.
  • ● You will be asked to enter information regarding your business like: Legal First Name, Last Name, Business details, Legal Business Name & Address.
  • ● Make sure you go through and check the “E-communication Delivery Policy” and “View Permissions”.
  • ● Click on “Agree and Create Account” button
  • ● Select the Business Type and fill in other business-related information and click on “Next”.
  • ● Then you will be asked to enter additional personal information like last 4-digit SSN, Date of Birth and Address which will be used to verify your identity.
  • ● Click on “Submit” button
  • ● On successful completion PayPal will send you an email to verify your information.
  • ● As a final step, ensure you go to your inbox and confirm by clicking on “Confirm my email address” button. Make sure to check the SPAM folder also for the confirmation email from PayPal.
Please note: In case the PayPal pop up does not open ensure the pop-up blocker is disabled and set to allow.
This feature allows you to customize the Service & Protection and Warranties options on the SHOP platform. Service & protection and Warranties can be defined and assigned to a Make-Model Year combination. Follow the below steps:
Click on Service & Protection
  • ● Choose an option from “Select a Profile” drop down. By default, it shall show the "Default".
  • ● Default plans are ‘View only’.
  • ● Select "Add New" from the drop down, the profile name field will appear. Click on “Add Service & Protection plan” to add the Plans and Warranties to the profile.
  • ● While you are creating a new profile, only "Save Profile" button will show. You will be able to Save a profile only when there are a minimum of two Service & Protection plans.
Edit Existing: [save only]
  • ● Choose a profile name to edit.
  • ● Profile name is read-only.
  • ● Other options are editable.
  • ● Click on save profile. You will be able to Save a profile only when there are minimum of two Service & Protection plans.
Edit Existing: [Create New from existing OR Clone]
  • ● Choose a profile name.
  • ● Clicks on Clone.
  • ● Specify plan name for the new one.
  • ● Make the desired changes.
  • ● Click Save Profile. You will be able to Save a profile only when there are a minimum of two Service & Protection plans.
FClick on Create/Edit Plans
Select Plans or warranties and click on delete icon.
This feature allows you to create a user and grant access to Dealer Admin tool. Follow the below steps:
Click on Access Management
  • ● Click on “Create User”
  • ● Enter all the required information and select the modules and permissions.
  • ● Click on “Create User” button
This feature allows you to generate Leads Report within a specified date range.
Click on Lead Report
  • ● Select the dates “From Date” and “To Date”.
  • ● Click on “Go” button
  • ● To view lead details (Customer Information, Dealer Information, Vehicle Information, Payment Information and Trade-in Information) click on the button in “Details” column.
  • ● You can also search for a lead based on First Name, Last Name, Email, Phone, Lead Source, Year, Make, Model, Trim and VIN by entering value in the Search field.
Please note:
  • ● The Lead Report can be generated for Service & Protection also by checking “Service & Protection” checkbox on top.
  • ● You can download the Lead Report by clicking on “Download CSV” button
